25 Years, A Quarter of a Century, 9125 Days. PlayStation has become one of Gamings most important companies that has fueled the live of many gamers alike. From their first console to the latest in technology. PlayStation deserves the love and admiration they gain. Today I’m gonna run by a little history of PlayStation from its greatest console achievements.
The First PlayStation
The First Play Station was released, with a R3000 CPU, a 2 MB RAM, this was the first Play Station to be released and soared in sales. To this date it’s sold over 102 Million Consoles. It’s still regarded and Loved to this date. With classics like Gran Tourismo, Silent Hill, Resident Evil II, Final Fantasy, Mega Man. Some of gamings most important series had their beginnings in the play station. It was a hit with the demographic in the 90s to early 2000s. And is still regarded as one of the best consoles of all time.

The PlayStation II
In Japan, the Second Installment of the Gaming Console was released, the PlayStation II. It was a larger and more blocky console but excelled where the original could not. With more crisp graphics, a higher storage for games and memory. And a new Processing Unit the “Emotion Engine”. Which was also used in early models of the next console, the PlayStation 3. The console featured more games, and was the first PlayStation to Offer an online Function with Multiplayer that would be worked on and enhanced with the next consoles that will appear in the next lone of consoles.

The First Handheld PlayStation Console was released.
The PSP, (PlayStation Portable) was a step into the direction of on the Go Gaming. With a fantastic graphics system, a 40 MB Storage drive and a comfortable handheld model that was prominent in the second version the PS Vita. There were handheld consoles by Nintendo in 2004-2005 that did not do as well as The PSP in that era. It shows that the PSP was well ahead of its time. Selling 80 Million Devices in its Decade Run. And is still a go to for some, even passing on the Nintendo DS or 3DS.

The PlayStation III
The Third console in this generation debuted on the 11th in Japan with massive praise and love from gamers. It released shortly in America and other counties proceeding that and gained even more praise then. With more modern Graphics and new Multiplayer system made it on the equivalent or even higher than the Xbox 360. There were also new new version within the Span of the game, the PS3 Slim that came out in 2009. And the PS4 Super Slim That released in 2012. It was the first of the PS Consoles to also allow Blu-Ray and Disc Reading to enjoy Movies and Games alike, it sold amazing in Japan and with all Counties includes it hits to 87.4 Million. And it would only get better with the next Generation of PlayStations.

The Modern Era, PlayStation 4
With A 500 GB storage, a 8 Core AMD, and the highest graphic system of All Consoles. The Fourth Console in the PlayStation Generation is the modern and most important iteration of PlayStation. Sony’s Greatest creation to date has had plenty of time to evolve and transform into one of the top selling consoles of all time. Hitting 100 Million Sold worldwide and still climbing, with PlayStation conforming another console, we can only expect that it will do better than PS1,2,3 and 4 Combined. Sony has had a slightly rocky relationship with those who play their systems in the West, regardless Sony has had a major foothold in American Families and Mine as well. With the future looking bright for gaming as it’s as popular as ever.
