Rooster Teeth has had one of the worst years in 2019, that includes in the controversy Blizzard, Funimation, Google and Bethesda. It’s seems day after day they’re caught in a new Controversy each time. And this time is no different.
Michael Jonathan Quinn was arrested On November 18th for an alleged assault and battery of his wife, and for threatening to kill her and his daughter. The Austin, Texas police station’s report contains the harrowing details.
His wife claims that she was viciously assaulted and even strangled until she blacked out. This assault has been allegedly going on for years. She did not want to give information to the police to protect herself and her daughter, as he alleged that he was going to “kill ker and her daughter.” Detectives reported that she had bruising and swelling on her body, and was visibly shaken up and distraught.
The alleged assault, which took place on November 8, is even more terrifying in detail. According to the report, Quinn verbally harassed her, which lead to him striking her, even going as to point a handgun at her temple. And as she attempted to leave he crushed her hand between the door and the doorway, and began to choke her until she blacked out.
“If I’m going to kill you I’m going to use my hands,” he allegedly said.
“It was a death grip. I thought I was going to die,” she told the police.
Quinn, who was arrested on November 18, was booked into the Travis County Jail with a bond set at $100,000. However, the sheriff’s office explained that he was released on a personal recognizance bond on November 20.
Rooster Teeth has not yet made a statement on this situation and is expected to as anger and concern mounts over the arrest. The Rooster Teeth fanbase, specifically those revolving around the animated show “RWBY” seem to care little about the issue and have expressed sympathies with the public figure.
Rooster Teeth has not responded to requests for comment on the official Rooster Teeth subreddit. We can only hope for the safety of the wife and child and hope that Quinn will face justice.
