Chakan the Foreverman: A forgotten Dark Fantasy Gem on the Sega Genesis

Chakan the Foreverman – Magus Reviews

For those of you unaware. I do more comedic reviews of games, anime, tv shows, and anything else I can think of. I’m a little rusty at this whole “youtube thing” but I am happy to finally be returning to content.

Check out my review for Chakan the Foreverman on Sega Genesis below or by clicking on the link above.

But to Summarize for those who do not wish to watch a comedy review show on youtube:

Chakan is a long forgotten hidden gem on the Sega Genesis. Back when video games were seen as kids toys this Dark Fantasy action platformer was a breath of fresh air. Tight controls, fun sword play, a cool potion system, and dark atmospheric graphics really helped make it stand out in a sea of bright, colorful, children’s titles.

It has been, unfortunately, relegated to the annals of video game history and isn’t as appreciated today as it once was.

I do recommend playing this game but it’s only downside is the monstrous difficulty. It is one of the hardest games I’ve ever played and it gives you no mercy. The original Dark Fantasy “Git Gud” Game will chew you up and spit you out before you have time to say “Well this sounds like Dark…” I refuse to finish that.

Great game and if the character would ever return, I’d play it.
