Kamado Tanjiro was a normal, hardworking boy, that is until his family was attacked by a demon leaving his sister transformed into a demon herself and the rest of the family, besides Kamado, dead. The two would set out for revenge with Kamado becoming a Demon Slayer to hopefully make his sister a human again and to avenge the deaths of the rest of his family. The series started out as a manga with spinoffs in the forms of light novels, manga spin offs, and an anime.
Now this popular series is getting a movie! The movie, called Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, follows the “demon train” story arc from the manga with the voice actors from the series reprising their roles for the film. For those who don’t remember, the demon train arc is the seventh in the Demon Slayer Manga. The arc involves the gang going onto a train to search for Kyojuro Rengoku, The Flame Pillar, a fellow Demon Slayer. There they discover that Kyojuro is searching for a demon that he believes is responsible for the disappearances of multiple people on the train.
In a tweet by the official Demon Blade Twitter we are given a sneak peak at the film. What really stands out in the accompanying video is Kyojuro Rengoku, a character with fiery red eyes and hair who appears ready and poised for battle. The film is set to premier in Japan in 2020. Hopefully it will be viewable in the West not long after so eager fans aren’t left in suspense for too long. I imagine the fans can’t go too long without new Nezuko content.
